Thanks to my sister-in-law who happened to be an awesome baker. I made a gingerbread caravan and piped on the designs. Piping is a long and tedious process~ It made me think of a childhood rhyme as I was piping "Peter Piper picked a pecked of pickled pepper."....lol.

Playmobil Concept : Beijing Olympics

2 years ago, my brothers (being Playmobil fanatics) mentioned that I should design some Chinese themed- set for Playmobil since they don't have any of such existing. 2008 witnessed Beijing hosting the Olympics. Hence I designed something for that. In addition, a set of ancient Chinese characters. These illustrations had been sitting in my computer ever since. So I thought they should see some virtual daylight now.

Aardman @ the office

Yesterday we were lucky to have people from Aardman coming into the office for a presentation of their works. They even brought in the clay models of Wallace N Gromit and Morph! Along with a Gromit metal-boned armature. It was a fantastic hour. They gave us a Morph clay kit each too. I decided to make mine during lunch break today.

From left to right : (1) air dry white clay - dry n harder to mold. needs painting (2) air dry model magic - comes in variety of colors Most Friendly~ (3) Sculpey Bake Shop - umm.. my 1st try with polymer clay. They get abit too squishy and dirt sticks to it easily. I read online that it's much softer than standard polymer clay as it's meant for kid. Needs baking to harden.

I found these super cool Shadowbox.js that lets you overlay swf/flv/video/inline contents over your html pages! Tis a must share. Now my (folio)site can stream video without opening annoying new tabs/windows! There's alot more examples from the creator's site. Be sure to check them out.

Colored air-drying clay is one of my fave things around. I've recently switched to using Crayola Model Magic after using Jumping clay for a couple of years. They're as good as each other altho Crayola has a larger range of colors available.

All this claying is turning me into a whistling cross-eyed camel~
